
We are looking forward to you all coming on Saturday 11th July 2026 for this year’s Lyme Morris Day of Dance. It is our biggest event to-date.
We are hoping for good weather and a fantastic, fun time for all throughout the day.
The Programme for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday 11th July 2026
Morris Event Parking: All Day Parking for £5.00
St Andrews Meadow, Haye Lane, DT7 3LR, off Uplyme Road.
£5 Charity Donation Carpark, (half the charges of all public carparks)
10 min walk down to seafront.
Registration and Meet from 10.00am. Assembly Point
Meet, Welcome, Registration, Final Briefing for 10.30am at Cobb Gate Car Park near the Rockpoint Inn, at the bottom of Broad Street.
Baggage and bags transported to Main Performance area and stored for collection in information centre.
The Parade: starts at 11.00am from the Assembly Point.
11.00am, ALL SIDES parade along the seafront. When the parade stops, after passing the beach huts. The Town Crier will ring his bell, all sides will perform a dance of their choice at the same time. When completed, all sides will continue along the Upper Marine Parade to the Shelters, Main Performance Area on the upper terrace.

Welcome of the Morris sides by The Lord Mayor Phillip Evans, Mayoress Jackie Evans.
Mass performance of Tinners Rabbit dancers and musicians. Extra sticks available. Music to be advised.
Dance Notes.
No 1. Reel, Sticking, Sticks high circle, round and back
No 2. Reel, Sticking, RH Star, round and back.
No 3. Reel, Sticking, Tinners Rabbit round and back
Sticking, Sticks to the ground, Circle round and back. All Up.
TOILETS. Toilets can be found at either end of the seafront and on the higher terrace near the amusement arcade.
Our Sponsors Lyme Brewery, serving locally brewed ale, will be located at the Main Performance area throughout the day and will be providing a free pint throughout the day to participating Morris sides.
There are nine performing areas along the seafront. Marked by boarded Dance spot signs. (If these are subject to any changes, an updated Dance Programme for the day will be issued on the day of arrival).
At the Main Stage all sides will perform, along with Lyme Morris, throughout the day. We would like this to be your show dances. In the time allowed, possibly two dances will be performed.

Spot 1. On the Cobb Lyme Regis Harbour lower walkway (by what is known as the Gin Shop / the steps and shelter)
Spot 2. Outside The Royal Standard (Harbour area)
Spot 3. Harry's Cafe, (Harry's Café / Lyme Fish Bar East View seafront lower terrace by the sandy beach)
Spot 4. Swim, (upper Marine Parade, below seated area)
Spot 5. Trampoline, (on lower terrace by the trampoline)
Spot 6. The National Trust Shop (upper terrace Shelter to right of NT Shop,)
Spot 7. Main Stage (upper terrace Marine Parade Shelters Performance Area)
Spot 8. Kiosk Café (between the barrier and the kiosk Café, lower terrace)
Spot 9. The Rock Point Inn (on the promenade of Gun Cliff Walk below the Rock Point)
NB. If any emergency vehicles need access, please stop dancing and move to one side.
Any bin or cleaning vehicles. Finish dance and move to one side.
Friday 10th, Sunday 12th July. If you are staying over and wish to perform, you are welcome to perform along the seafront at any time. Either by the Shelters, outside The Royal Standard or the Swim.
